Step 1- XML Digital Signature Software, When you obtain your
Certificate the Windows software on your computer stores the Private
Key in a hidden location on your computer. Step2- The Secure XML Software (on the sender computer) will perform a Hashing algorithm on the sender's document or data file to create a small and unique electronic Digest of your document. Step 3- The Software uses the Private Key to encrypt the document Digest thus creating an Electronic Signature unique to you and to the particular document it is sending. Step 4- The Software will ask you whether you want to add to the Electronic Signature a 'hand written' signature you created with a mouse, tablet or stored previously in a file. Step 5- The original document is sent with the Electronic Signature your Public Key and your Certificate appended to it. XML Digital Signature Software. |
