Supreme Court of Canada Selects Infomosaic SecureXML Digital Signature
for Electronic Court Filings
SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 20, 2004--Infomosaic,
a leading provider of easy to use digital signature solutions,
today announced that the Supreme Court of Canada has selected Infomosaic's
flagship product SecureXML Digital Signature for the Supreme Court's
electronic court filing application.
Today many documents filed with the Supreme Court of Canada require
signatures and these must be filed in paper format. This process
is costly and highly inefficient.
The new electronic filing system, which will be offerred to agents
of the court over the coming months, uses Infomosaic's SecureXML
Digital Signature solution allowing the Supreme Court to accept
digitally signed court filing documents from attorneys. The process
of adding signature to the electronic document being filed is controlled
by the Supreme Court's E-Filing application. The security requirements
of this application, including digest calculation, real time certificate
validation using OCSP protocol and time stamping on the server
are met using features provided by SecureXML. It allows the Supreme
Court to fully control the signing process and reject any unauthorized,
revoked or expired certificates.
